Alas - so will we never know what you think of Verdi?
I can confirm that his music is still not really for me...
How about Bellini? Not going to catch Norma, which Wagner so admired?
Afraid not. I was mildly curious, but I haven't been well and have quite a lot on, so have left my first Bellini opera for another occasion. Wagner, as I'm sure we'd all recognise, admired some pretty peculiar things at times...
