Salzburg calling





Later today, I shall head off to Gatwick, for a hideously early morning flight tomorrow morning to Salzburg. Herewith a taste of what I shall be reporting on from the Salzburg Festival:

5 August – Thomas Adès’s new opera, The Exterminating Angel, ORF SO, cond. Adès; dir. Tom Cairns. Giant cast including Amanda Echalaz, Audrey Luna, Anne Sofie von Otter, Iestyn Davies, Ed Lyon, Thomas Allen, John Tomlinson, Christine Rice, Sophie Bevan, et al.
